A rare award document for the Japanese Red Cross Merit Medal. For some reason, these rarely
appear on the market.

This one is dated Showa 16 [1941] April 20 and was awarded to a person named Ishida Chotaro.

Fairly scarce badge issued by two groups.
Inscribed 'Manchurian Incident Victorious Return Commemorative' on the obverse.
On the reverse: 'Japanese Red Cross Niigata Branch, Patriotic Women's Association Niigata Prefecture Branch,
Showa 8 [1933].'
Chinese Republican Government Year 21,
which would be 1933.
This print shows the celebration of the 25th
Anniversary of the Japanese Red Cross in 1902.

The Meiji Empress is in the center, General President
of the Japanese Red Cross Prince Komatsu is in front
of her (we see him from the back), and the man to the
Empress's right is Prince Higashifushimi.
