Rare enamel merit badge from the Imperial Military Reservist Association.
The badge has lost the reverse hook and someone has soldered a modern catch in
its place. (Shame, shame...)
The reverse of the badge and the case inscription are the same: 'Merit Badge,
Imperial Military Reservist Association.'
A beautiful large medal with the Military Reservist member
badge and a Japanese castle (probably Nagoya Castle.)
In scribed 'Imperial Ordinance Proclamation Commemorative,
Imperial Year 2596 , Imperial Ordinance Number 365,
Imperial Military Reservist Association Nagoya Branch.'
This is not an official Japan Mint medal. A label on the box
shows it was made at a medal shop in Nagoya.
Diameter: 6 cm.
Imperial Military Reservist member badge and metal door ID plate
showing that the person was a full member of the association.
Imperial Military Reservist metal door ID plate showing that the person
was an honorable member of the association.
'Imperial Military Reservist Association Merit Badge.'
Imperial Military Reservist member badge.
The two kanji in the center seem to be an abbreviation for
'Manchukuo (Manchuria) group.'
This badge appears to be plastic.
Inscribed 'Showa 4 , Imperial Military Reservist Association, Sakura
Branch Martial Arts Tournament, Athlete Award.'
Sakura is a city in Chiba Prefecture.
The badge measures about 3.2 cm by 2.3 cm.
The two badges above are similar, but the
one on the left is thicker and slightly bigger.
The ring attachment is different, too.
